Creeping Thermocapillary Motion of a Newtonian Droplet Suspended in a Viscoelastic Fluid

In this work we consider theoretically the problem of a Newtonian droplet moving in an otherwise quiescent infinite viscoelastic fluid under influence externally applied temperature gradient. The outer is modelled by Oldroyd-B equation, and solved for small Weissenberg Capillary numbers terms double perturbation expansion. We assume microgravity conditions neglect convective transport energy momentum. We derive expressions migration speed its shape properties both fluids. absence deformation, decreases monotonically sufficiently viscous inner fluids, while fluids with smaller inner-to-outer viscosity ratio, first increases then as function number.
